Emile Egger & Co. - TUROŽ Vortex pump - Series T, Semi-Open Impeller Pump Series EO/EOS, Semi-Open Impeller Pump Series EO/EOS.
Egger Pumps India Pvt ltd is a 100% fully owned, fully funded and supported subsidiary of Renowned pump manufacturers Egger pumps based in Switzerland. The Egger family group has 2 manufacturing plants in Europe, our latest expansion is our factory in Coimbatore which is targeted to develop and meet the requirements of our customers in India (Asia).
Emile Egger & Co. is a privately owned centrifugal pump manufacturer who has been manufacturing solids handling pumps in Switzerland for over 60 years. The company was formed in 1947 and adopted the name of its principal founder. EGGER can and do manufacture pumps in various materials, the more common materials stocked are Cast Iron, Hard Iron, Stainless Steel and some Hastelloy’s. EGGER Researches & designs its own products with the aid of CFD, Fluent, FEM and Rapid prototyping software. The quality and environmental management system of EGGER are certified ISO 9001:2000 (since 1998 with SGS) and ISO 14001:2004 (since 2005). The norm EN 13980:2002 (Explosive atmospheres – Application of the quality systems) is in addition to ISO 9001:2000. The system of EGGER must assure that all products to be used in explosive atmospheres conform to the design described in the CE type test certificate. Safety at work and health protection are integrated in the management system of EGGER following the legal directive FCOS 6508:2007 (federal coordination commission for occupational safety, directive 6508). Pump performance is controlled and conforms to DIN 1944 grade ll. standard for testing other standards can be employed when specified.
All EGGER pumps are designed and manufactured as “Solids Handling Slurry Pumps”. Our Horizontal High Temperature/High Pressure pumps conform to many of the requirements of API 610 10TH Edition and the standard Vertical cantilever (SO) and Vertical shaft driven (S) pumps also comply with this standard.
Egger designed range of pump hydraulics are capable of handling homogeneous slurries containing varying amounts of entrained air and gases without clogging or air locking .
TURO® Vortex pump - Series T:
For solids handling applications the Turo® vortex flow impellers in which liquid can be pumped with large irregular solids(up to same diameter a the discharge port) and long fibrous material. In this design only 15% of the impeller is in contact with fluid thereby causing minimum wear to pump internals. The Turo® pump incorporates the latest design technology that provides this design with hydraulic efficiencies that are second for none. Some of its application in paper industry is in handling Uncleaned wastepaper, straw pulp, rag pulp, defibrator pulp, Kaolin 80%, bagasse, babmus, rejects, pulper rejects. Light, medium and heavy slurries, low shear applications, gentile pumping of soft solids, slurries. Containing <10% entrained air or gas. Long fibrous material, large irregular solids. Low flows with large solids.
Specifications:
Discharge : DN32 – 200 mm (1¼¨ -8¨)
Capacity : Up to 120 l/sec (1900 US gpm)
Head: Up to 130 m (430 ft)
Sealing arrangements available with Turo® pump arrangements H, V, VK
Egger pumps are manufactured with casing covers that have independent seal covers therefore it is very simple and easy for Egger pumps to house special seals with standard and non standard dimensions.

Semi-Open Impeller Pump Series EO/EOS:
For homogeneous slurries and slurries containing up to 25% by volume gases EGGER manufacture a semi open impeller pump range known as the EO/EOS range. This is one of the latest developments from the original EGGER pump that was invented by Emile EGGER the EO/EOS design is used extensively in the chemical industry due to its ability to handle two and three phase liquids. The vane profiles are unique thereby allowing the pump to handle entrained air and gases. The difference between EO and EOS is concerning the number of impeller blades EO= 5 TO 7 and in EOS =3. Pumping of fluids with gas contents up to 25 %. Paper pulp consistencies up to 8 %.
Discharge : DN50 – 500 mm (2¨ - 20¨)
Capacity : up to 1500 l/s (23’400 usgpm)
Head: up to 240 m (780 ft)
