Finor Piplaj Chemicals Limited - Biocides, AKD Sizing, Felt Wash, Deposit Control, Retention Aid, Defoamer.
Finor Piplaj Chemicals Limited established in 1984 as a specialty chemicals manufacturing company, pioneering the production of silicides for the Indian paper industry. Finor corporate office and R&D facilities are located in Navi Mumbai. Finor has an adequate microbiology and paper chemicals testing lab infrastructure and also qualified personnel to run product application tests. The manufacturing plant is situated in Ankleshwar, Gujarat where the company also have a pilot plant and product development lab. The company operates across India and have personnel stationed in close proximity of customer locations. Finor personnel possess several years of rich experience and share their knowledge with customers in order to serve them better. We are a family owned, professionally managed company and constantly seek opportunities for growth.
Biocides
Slimicides compliment the deposit control program and play a crucial role in mitigating biofilm formation. Finor biocides are proven to be effective against algae, yeast, fungi and bacteria across a wide pH range of 3.5 - 11. Finor also have fungicides to protect paper products against mold attack. Finor Biocides for coating bases preserve the coating formulation in the wet stage as well as in the cured stage.
AKD Sizing
Finor offer variants of an AKD emulsion for alkaline paper sizing. The products are tailor-made to suit, furnish and papermaking processes. AKD emulsions are cellulose reactive sizing agents suited to work at a pH greater than 7. Finor DS 900 is an AKD emulsion that works at higher dosages in the absence of cationic retention aids, thereby maintaining the optical properties of value added papers.
Felt Wash
Maintaining high water permeability of paper machine Felts is very important. When the pores of the fabric get clogged due to contaminants like pitch and stickies and impurities like fines, fillers and additives the water-permeability of felt decreases. Finor offers optimally blended product containing polymers, surfactants and phosphonates. Finor FW 300 is sprayed over the running felt through a spray bar via a feed pump with online dilution.
Deposit Control
Deposit Control Agents are products designed to prevent deposit formation in the pulping and papermaking system. With the large volumes of water, fillers and organic fiber that are used along with additives like binders, starches and pigments, the paper machine systems provides ideal conditions for both, organic as well as inorganic deposit formation and build-up. Finor offers a comprehensive deposit control program and include chemical antiscalants and biodispersants to overcome the problems associated with deposit formation. Finor products are designed to work at elevated temperatures and in a wide pH range of 4 - 8. These products are dosed at low dosages on a continuous basis depending on the water quality.
Retention Aid
The key to cost savings in paper lies in optimizing additive quantities used per ton of reeled paper. High value fiber and additives are not only wasted when not retained on the paper sheet but also add to the wastewater treatment plant load. The task of retaining is even more challenging in high speed machines. The benefits of good fiber and ash retention and rapid drainage in papermaking are therefore uncontested. We offer Retention and Drainage aids for a variety of stock types. Finor products with Anionic, Cationic and Non-ionic charges are available in a wide spectrum of molecular weights.
Defoamer
Foam generates wide spread problems in the pulping and papermaking processes and can impose severe limitations on paper quality and production. The foam formed by Lignosulphonates and Calcium and Magnesium salts in pulping and papermaking is stubborn and needs heavy duty emulsions to control. Finor Defoamers and antifoams are used to control, suppress, eliminate or prevent foam in the processes.
